Pilot #1 (Fixed Wing Services)
As Pilot #1, you will serve as the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for our medical transport operations. This role requires you to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fixed-wing aircraft while providing exceptional care to patients during transport. You will be responsible for the overall conduct of the flight and will lead the flight crew, including the co-pilot.

What You'll Do
Role and Responsibilities:

Serve as the Pilot-in-Command, ensuring the safety and operation of the aircraft at all times.

Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections and flight planning, including route selection and fuel calculations.

Lead crew briefings and debriefings to communicate flight objectives, emergency procedures, and other relevant information.

Oversee aircraft navigation and flight performance while monitoring instruments and systems during flight.

Maintain constant communication with air traffic control and other agencies, ensuring compliance with all regulations and protocols.

Make decisions regarding flight safety, patient care, and emergency procedures as necessary.

Adhere to company policies, procedures, and FAA regulations at all times.

Participate in ongoing training and development activities to maintain proficiency and ECMO certifications.

Qualifications:
-
Must possess a valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with an instrument rating.
-
Minimum of 3,000 hours of total flight time, with at least 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in fixed-wing aircraft.

A minimum of 200 hours of flight time in air ambulance or medical transport operations is preferred.

Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.

Strong understanding of aviation safety management systems and industry best practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in air ambulance or medical transport utilizing fixed-wing aircraft.

Familiarity with specific aircraft utilized by Lifeguard Aeromed Inc. (e.g., Beechcraft King Air, Cessna Citation, etc.).

Additional ratings or certifications (e.g., type ratings, flight instructor) will be considered an advantage.
